Woking Malayalees support Woking Hospice through movie screening

Malayalee community in Woking under the banner of Woking Malayalee Cultural Association (WMCA) raised more than £250 to support Woking hospice and Karunya Charitable Society. WMCA is a non-profit making organisation for the community members who are originally from Kerala, a Southern state in India. Malayalam movie 'Kamath & Kamath' was screened in Woking ambassadors on 10 Feb 2013. 

A cheque for £151 was presented to Woking Hospice and £101 to Karunya Charitable Society, jointly by surrey county councillor Ben Carasco and WMCA president Johnson Kurian. Mr Johnson Kurian reminded '' we are proud of what we do, and the fact that we are a not for profit voluntary organisation entering into second year of community service functioning purely on members' contribution''. County Councillor Ben Carasco commented that “Woking Malayalees are a small community with big heart”.
